Ol' Blue Eyes Lives!

As one of the 20th century's most iconic entertainers, Francis Albert Sinatra made an indelible mark on the world. In the 10 years since his passing, Sinatra's legacy not only endures but also continues to grow in stature. As the first initiative under the newly established Frank Sinatra Enterprises (FSE), a partnership between the Sinatra Family and Warner Music Group, FSE has partnered with Reprise, Warner Home Video, MGM Home Entertainment, Turner Classic Movies, and the United States Postal Service to commemorate the Chairman of the Board, whose music and movies have an everlasting impact on popular culture. The month-long celebration will include the release of all-new CD and DVD collections, a television film festival and specials and a commemorative stamp.

On May 13, Reprise released "NOTHING BUT THE BEST," a single-disc collection from Sinatra's Reprise Years that features 22 classic cuts remixed and remastered from the original master tapes, plus a previously unreleased recording of "Body And Soul" featuring a new arrangement. The compilation is available in physical and digital formats, online at www.franksinatra.com, and in more than 7,000 Post Offices across the country. For a limited time, each CD will contain a collectible, commemorative Sinatra stamp with official USPS first-day issue cancellation. The stamp was unveiled in December 2007 by the U.S. Postal Service and went on sale May 13.

Read Between The Lines, Erm...Trees.

Universal Republic is proud to announce the Between the Trees CD release The Story and The Song, in stores now.

The mission of Between the Trees lies in plain view. It’s not just in the music, though their sound is a wonder: hard-hitting, ambitious, accessible, riddled with unforgettable hooks that course through a sonic landscape of open vistas, quiet private spaces and sun-drenched, slamming beats. Certainly there’s much to appreciate in their words, from celebrations of love (“White Lines & Red Lights”) to meditations on despair (“The Way She Feels” & “A Time for Yohe”). But an even greater truth stands Between the Trees … literally. It’s in the name itself – specifically, in the space staked out by its suggestion of beginning and end. “One tree represents where time and existence begins,” ventures lead singer Ryan Kirkland. “The other is the end of everything. Between them is the time we’re given on Earth. What matters is what we do with that time.”

Nuthin' But Trouble

After a debut indie release and an acclaimed self-released sophomore album, singer/songwriter Hayes Carll has found a home at Lost Highway. Trouble In Mind, Carll’s Lost Highway debut will be released on April 8, featuring a collection of songs that blend some of the finest elements of folk, country and rock with brainy, quirky lyrics.

The 32-year-old Texan delivers songs born of baptism-by-fire experience, world weary observations and sharp wit. While his songs draw a direct line from some of his legendary Texas heroes such as Townes Van Zandt and Guy Clark, Carll has managed to put a stamp on his music that is truly his own.

As a performer, Carll’s clever anecdotes, genuine sincerity and self-deprecating humor invites listeners in. His confidence and charisma are second only to the quality of his songwriting. Audiences relate to his songs because he sings to them as friends, immediately breaking down any barrier that might normally exist between the stage and audience.

Carll’s personality permeates all of the songs on Trouble In Mind. He makes this quite clear in the infectious melody of “It’s A Shame”, the ragged throw down “Bad Liver and a Broken Heart”, the satirical “She Left Me For Jesus”, and even in his rendition of Tom Waits’ “I Don’t Wanna Grow Up”.

Carll has already begun making fans in the US and overseas through his first releases and his relentless touring. Take a step into the world of Hayes Carll through Trouble In Mind and find out what many already know and many others are about to discover.

Word is on the Playground...About Little Maestros!

Little Maestros, the award-winning music program from Kidville, will release its third album, Postcards From My Mind, on Kid Rhino on Tuesday, March 18th. New York City's #1 children's music program, Little Maestros is a unique pre-school program designed to creatively entertain, inspire and enrich children by exposing them to a variety of live musical forms.

In conjunction with the release of their 3rd album, Little Maestros will kick-off a regional Mall Tour, including performances at Palisades, Garden State Plaza, Willow Grove, Bridgewater Commons, Short Hills, Roosevelt Field, King of Prussia and The Westchester...which will run from March 29th through April 27th.

Following their highly anticipated Mall Tour, Little Maestros will hit BROADWAY, with two performances at the Nokia Theater in Times Square on Sunday, May 4th.

Postcards from my Mind is a journey through the imagination of a 5 year old girl named Twinkle. Looking for something to do in her bedroom, Twinkle "embarks" on a pretend play adventure with her Scratch doll (Scratch, the furry blue wolf, is Maestroville's resident town DJ). Twinkle and Scratch go on vacation to Maestroville's Hotel Parazone on the famous Maestro Beach.

Little Maestros received critical acclaim for their first two albums Welcome Home To Maestroville and Word Is On The Playground.
